Once you were not a people, but now you are God's people; once you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy.
1 Peter 2:10

Church is not a weekly time and place. Church is a people. The Church is a people connected to Jesus, trusting He gives full and eternal life -- starting now -- to those who believe in His death and resurrection.

That's our purpose -- to connect life with JESUS.

CONNECT GROUPS -- These bite-size gatherings are a great way to study the Bible, meet friends, and get connected to Jesus within the larger community. Connect Groups are currently meeting on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings.

WORSHIP SERVICES -- We worship through our everyday lives, but we meet together on Sundays to learn from the Scriptures, pray, worship, and encourage one another. Anyone is welcome to venture in while we meet in the Balagan Theatre on 12th and Pike.

WEST SEATTLE CHURCH PLANT -- God has given Church on the Hill a vision for planting ten churches within ten miles of Seattle in ten years ("10-to-the-Third"). Our first church plant, Church of the Cross, was sent to West Seattle May 25th, 2008 and is being led by Pastor Jeremy McKim.

Reality: We believe scripture tells us the truth about who God is, who we are, and the reality of our situation

And beginning with Moses and all the Prophets, [Jesus] explained to them what was said in all the Scriptures concerning himself. (Luke 24:27)

Rebirth: We believe Jesus is the only means for a new beginning and continued renewal

He saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit, whom he poured out on us generously through Jesus Christ our Savior (Titus 3:5-6)

Ripen: We believe it is vital to continue growing and to bear fruit as disciples of Jesus Christ

Remain in me, and I will remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me. I am the vine; you are the branches. If a man remains in me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing. (John 15:4-5)

Relationship: We believe in a life of community - with God, family, church and neighborhood

The body is a unit, though it is made up of many parts; and though all its parts are many, they form one body. So it is with Christ. For we were all baptized by one Spirit into one body-whether Jews or Greeks, slave or free - and we were all given the one Spirit to drink. (1 Cor. 12:12-13)

Radiate:We believe God commands all disciples to be ministers and missionaries

But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light. (1 Peter 2:9)
